  Paul A. Franz, 58, Neenah, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital after an eleven month illness. He was born September 30, 1950, in Neenah, WI, son of Lloyd and Marie (Scheller) Franz. Paul was employed at Secura Insurance Company in Appleton, WI. Paul and his family are forever grateful for their support and compassion during his illness. Survivors include his wife, Carol (Samuelson) Franz; sons: Brett (Sarah) Franz and their children Aaron, Kassidy and Kaylie; Christopher Franz (Angela Simon); his mother, Marie Franz, all of Neenah; brother, Philip (Debra) Franz, Naperville, IL and their two sons Joshua and Daniel; sisters-in-law: Gail (Samuelson) Johnson and her two children Michelle (Matt) Andrews and Eric Johnson; Jane Franz and her two children Ann (David) Phelps and Susan (Marcelo) Garcia Franz; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Susan Schroeder, of Neenah. Paul is also survived by other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Franz; his brother David (Captain) Franz; his grandparents; and brother-in-law, Robert Johnson. The Funeral Service to celebrate Paul's life will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at 6 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the hour of services. Paul and his family are most thankful to a very special sister-in-law, Debra Franz, for her generous gift by donating a kidney to Paul in 2000. The family also wishes to give their thanks to Dr. Goggins and his staff, and St. Elizabeth's Hospital and their staff for their care and compassion to Paul and his family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Paul will be established. He will never be forgotten and forever missed! - Love, your family.
