  MARGARET ROEHRIG Mrs. P. Roehrig Dies on Thursday At Home of Son The death of Mrs. Peter Roehrig, 72, occurred early Thursday morning of last week at the home of her son Casper in the town of New Holstein, where she had been visiting. Her demise was due to the infirmities of old age. The deceased, nee Margaret Mertens, was born in St. Anna, October 6, 1867(sic), and spent all her life in this vicinity. She was united in marriage Nov. 27, 1879, to Peter Roehrig. To this union four children were born, two of whom survive. They are Mrs. Nicholas Dietz of Milwaukee, and Casper, on the homestead farm. One daughter, Mrs. Thomas Regan of Milwaukee preceded her in death. Another child died in its infancy. Besides her husband, she is also survived by one brother, Jacob Mertens of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Anton Herzog and Mrs. Joseph L.Voelker of St. Anna. Mr. and Mrs. Roehrig have made their home in Kiel for the past 15 years. The deceased was a staunch member of the Christian Mothers Society here.
