  Esler, Mary E. "Bett y" (Hassman)Mary E. "Betty" (Hassman) Esler, 82, Kaukauna died Saturday, March 4, 200 6, at Franciscan Care Center with her family by her side. She was born M ay 26, 1923, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Joseph Carl and Tec la K. (Heinzkill) Hassman. On Aug. 31, 1948, she married George Esler at S t. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. Betty enjoyed cross-stitching, re ading and above all her grandchildren and great- grandchild.She is survived by her husband, George Esler, Kaukauna; daughters, Mary A nn (James) Nachtwey, Bourbonnias, Ill.; and Maureen (Steve) Ulwelling, Lit tle Chute; grandchildren, Emily (Josh) McBroom, Benjamin Nachtwey and Er ic Ulwelling; great-grandson, Samuel McBroom; and her special foster broth er, Edward (Terry) VanBerkel, Kimberly.Betty was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joseph Hassman.A private family funeral was held at St. Joseph's Oratory Chapel, Green B ay with a Requiem Latin Tridentine Mass. The Rev. Jean-Marie Moreau was t he officiant. Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery, Little Chut e. FARGO FUNERAL HOME 400 W. Wisconsin Ave.
