  Albert A. Leis, 83, of Kendall, Wis., died Monday, May 2 8, 2001, at his home.He was born Sept. 6, 1917, at Brush Creek in the town of Jefferson to Pet er and Mary (Suhr) Leis Sr. He was united in marriage to Esther Breitenfie ld April 9, 1942, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Pine Hollo w. He farmed all of his life. He enjoyed hoeing the garden, watching the b irds and spending time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esther of Kendall; three sons, Rob ert (Margaret), Ronald (Patty) and James Leis, all of Kendall; three daugh ters, Sister Esther Leis, FSPA, of Rhinelander, Wis., Ann (Christopher) So lchenberger of Cazenovia, Wis., and Theresa Leis of Kendall; seven grandch ildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, George (Dolores) and Pete r, both of Cashton, Wis.; a sister, Theresa Schaub of Rockland, Wis.; a nd other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger; a daughter, Catheri ne; a brother, Martin; a sister, Mary; and brothers- and sisters-in-law.A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, May 31, 2001, at 11 a.m. fr om St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kendall. The Very Rev. James P. McNamee w ill officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and frien ds are invited to call today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Smith-Nel son Funeral Home, Kendall, Wis., and at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. u ntil the time of the Mass. A Bible vigil will be at 8 p.m. this eveni ng at the funeral home.
