  Martha C. Vanevenhoven Little ChuteAge 94, died Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Saint Paul Home, Kaukauna. She w as born March 25, 1906, in Little Chute, daughter of Martin and Cornelia ( Van Gompel) Hermsen. Martha married Ervin S. Vanevenhoven May 10, 193 2, at Saint John's Church, Little Chute, and he preceded her in death Mar ch 16, 1995. Martha was a lifetime member of Saint John's Church and w as a 50-year member of the Saint Elizabeth Society. She was also a memb er of the Christian Mothers and Golden Agers.She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Jerry) Berghuis, Little Chute; fo ur sons, Robert (Susan) Vanevenhoven, Greenville; Donald (Donna) Vanevenho ven, Little Chute; John (Janine) Vanevenhoven, Shiocton; Paul (Sue) Vaneve nhoven, Mackville; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Vanevenhoven, Appleton; 22 gr andchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sister-in-la w, Hattie Hermsen, Appleton; her husband's family, Orville (Alma) Vanevenh oven, Kaukauna; Lillian (Martin) Thyssen, Appleton; Frances Vissers, Menas ha; Evelyn (James) Hermes and Nellie Vanevenhoven, all of Little Chute; Ha rriet Vanevenhoven, Kaukauna; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In ad dition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ge rald; a daughter-in-law, Myra Vanevenhoven; two grandchildren, Robert a nd Mary Vanevenhoven; three sisters, Elizabeth Scray, Mary Peerenboom, a nd Katherine Vander Velden; four brothers, George, Peter, Henry, and Herbe rt Hermsen.Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at S aint John Catholic Church, Little Chute, with the Rev. Msgr. James Vand en Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends m ay call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. A memori al is being established in Martha's name.The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff and voluntee rs of the St. Paul Nursing Home; a very special caregiver, Eileen Northwa y; Dr. F.X.
