Genev ieve was born in Kaukauna on July 24, 1935, to the late Joseph and Whileme na (Ebben) Steffens, and has lived in the Fox Valley area all of her lif e. On May 12, 1956, she was united in marriage to Harold P. Fredericks on at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, and the couple has enjoy ed 48 years together. Genevieve worked at Fox River Paper Co. for 26 year s, retiring in 1999.She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Harold, Appleton; two son s, Gregory (Ramona) Frederickson, Hortonville; and Guy (Kathy) Frederickso n, Freedom. two daughters, Gwenn Baumann, Appleton; and Karen (Keith) Kaba t, Neenah; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, and Alicia Frederickso n, Hortonville; Katie and Kelly Frederickson, Freedom; Tyler and Nichol as Kabat, Neenah; two brothers, George (Gina) Steffens, Fond du Lac; and M elvin (Beverly) Steffens, Madison; two sisters, Florence Bodde, Kaukaun a; and Lorry Corby, Rhinelander; five brothers-in-law, Raymond (Margare t) Frederickson, Kaukauna; Donald (Carol) Frederickson, Hollandtown; Richa rd (Evelyn) Frederickson, Kaukauna; Kenneth (Janet) Frederickson, Darbo y; and Vernon (Carol) Frederickson, Kaukauna; one sister in law, Phyllis J anssen, Combined Locks. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, a nd special friends.Genevieve is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sister Jane Fr ancis and Sister Mary Leonore; seven brothers, Vincent, Francis, Nichola s, Peter, Richard, William, and John Steffens; a grandson, Joshua Kabat; a nd a brother-in-law, George Bodde.A funeral service for Genevieve will be held 7 p.m. on Wednesday April 1 4, at the Brettschneider Trettin Lederer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jan et Frederickson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Tue sday from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
