  From Addie's obituary in the Rochester (Olmsted, MN) Post-Bulletin we learned the following life information - that she was cremated and a Mass was said for her on the Saturday following her Wednesday, March,6, 2002 death, thus, on March 9, 2002. Father Dale Tupper said the funeral Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Rochester. Addie was a retired beautician (in fact, taught me how to cut my own hair and that of my husband and children when I was a stay-at-home mom in the late-1960's. She and Bob were very good to me in the early 1960s when Lee, my husband and her nephew, was active in the National Guard in the Winona flood.) She owned and operated several beauty shops in Winona. She married Kenneth Goetzman in 1934 and divorced him in 1945. They had two children. In 1957 she married Robert H. Carpenter, an IBM employee. (They had no children together but he was a loving step-dad and-grandpa to Addie's family.) He died in 1986. Addie then moved to Fontaine Towers Senior Apartments for 17 years and attended St.John's Catholic Church in Rochester. When her cognitive impairment became so bad she could no longer live without 24/7 nursing support, she was moved to Sunshine Cottages. Addie lived in Wabasha from 1941 to 1942 (I believe Kenneth - better known as "Pete" - was in the service at that time) and then in Winona until moving to Rochester in 1957. She had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
