  Mrs. Stephen Rutte n, Amy Schaefer, age 41, died October 29th, 1994 after a short illness. B orn January 14th, 1953 in Berlin, Wisconsin, she married Steve October 19t h, 1974. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Survivors inclu de her husband, Steve and; one daughter, Hope, at home; one son, Joh n, at home; her parents, Donald and Marion Schaefer, Appleton; her moth er in law and father in law, Walter Jr. and Dorothy Rutten of Kaukauna; fo ur sisters, Lyn Schaefer, Cincinnati, Ohio, Ann and Daniel Oudenhoven, App leton, Jean and Dick DeKleayn, of Menasha, Abby Schaeffer, of Orlando Fla .; two sisters in law, Donna and Kevin Biesterveld, of Little Chute, Deb ra and Bruce Bolwerk, of Larsen, four brothers in law, Patrick "Wally" a nd Karen Rutten, of Little Chute, Thomas and Janis Rutten, of Appleton, Ja mes "Barney" Rutten, of Appleton, Mark and Joan Rutten, Neenah; two grandm others, Marie Barton, Oshkosh; Helen Rutten, Kaukauna; numerous nieces a nd nephews. Amy was a special godmother to Alissa Oudenhoven, Ashley Rutt en and Nathan Schaeffer. Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 6 :00 p.m. from the St. John Catholic Church, with Rev. James Vanden hoven o fficiating. Internment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flower s, a college fund is being established for children. Dear Amy, you liv ed your life as a model for others to follow. A landing hand and a kind h eart were only a few of your abundant qualities. Even though you have le ft this earth, your family and those who knew you will keep your memory al ive forever. You will always be in our hearts and on our minds, love yo ur family.
