  George John Reinhart George, second son of Mathias Reinhart and his wife Magdalen, nee Melchior, was born in Algoma, April 23, 1872; attended the Cath. Parochial School, and finished his education in the public school.At the age of sixteen, he was apprenticed to his father to learn shoemaking; later he became part of the firm of M. Reinhart & Sons; in 1894, he and his brother Math. L. purchased the business founded by their father, which they operated under the name of Reinhart Bros. Until 1908, when George withdrew from the firm and bought a store in DePere which in partnership with his son Edward George, he still operates.George possesses the dominant traits of his forefathers - industry and integrity which always net success. Since childhood, he was interested in music. Was a member of Cath. Church choir; a member of Algoma Cornet Band; choir director at St. Mary's Church, DePere, and president of DePere Green Bay Choral Society. He is a member of the C.O.F. and C.K. of Wis.A devout Christian, when all else seems to fail, George trusts in the Lord. In this spirit, at the age of sixty, he submitted to a major surgical operation, which resulted in complete recovery.In 1894, George was united in marriage to Anna Mary Molle, daughter of Charles and Johanna Molle of west Kewaunee, where she was born Mar 17 1874. She not only gave him her heart and hand, but also her wholehearted support thru their married life, her counsel being the pivot in many important decisions.This union was blessed with eight children: Marcella Odeal, now Mrs. Harold M. Kuypers, DePere; Aloysius John, Oconto, Wis.; Edward George, DePere; John Cyrillus, Green Bay; Genevieve Leona, now Mrs. David O. DeMarais; Margaret Amelia, now Sister Georgiana Marie (Order of St. Joseph); Norbert Vernon Peter, Appleton; Helen Ruth at home.
