  Loretta J. Nackers (Van Dera), Kaukauna, age 87, passed away Saturday, July12, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 3, 1927, in Hollandtown, daughter of the late William and Mary (Weyenberg) Van Dera. At the age of 85, she retired from Building Services Group where she was employed for many years cleaning in the Kaukauna School System. She was an active member with St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Kaukauna. Survivors include 8 children: Karen Jackels, Black Creek; Dale Nackers (Appleton); Lois Ludwig (Shawano); Roy (Ann) Nackers, Appleton, Jim (Joan) Nackers, Combined Locks; Mark (Pat) Nackers (Darboy); Lisa (Dave Rupiper), Appleton and Vicky (Dennis) Bayer, Combined Locks; 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, sister and brothers-in-law: Jean Van Dera, Little Chute; June Van Dera, Appleton; Mary Nackers, Freedom; Rose (Vincent) Schmidt, Combined Locks; Margaret (Clyde) Romensko, DePere; Marie Nackers (Kaukauna); Leo (Alice) Nackers, Seymour and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Nackers (of almost 50 years), 2 sons: Daniel and Michael Nackers; 2 sons-in-law: Joseph Ludwig and William Jackels, her brothers: Pete, Hank, Ted and Bob Van Dera; sisters-in-law: Elaine and Blanche Van Dera, Eunice Tennessen and Evelyn Nackers; brothers-in-law: Jerry and Russell Nackers, Bernard Tennessen and her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Petronella Nackers. A Mass of Christian Burial for Loretta will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 2 p.m. until the time of mass. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Boettcher Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
