  Maxine K. (Kornely) Van Price, Menasha, 86, passed away peacefully in the presence of her children on August 27, 2007. One of ten children to Amelia and Joseph Kornely, she was born on December 14, 1920, in Antigo, WI. She married Robert Van Price in Antigo. Maxine's greatest joy and challenge was raising her 12 children: Roger Van Price, Hortonville; Paul Van Price, Green Bay; Kathy (Bob) Jackson, Maine; John (Karen) Van Price, Menasha; Ron Van Price, Menasha; Teri (Pat) McQueeney, Sun Prairie; Rob (Lori) Van Price Jr., Menasha; Rita (Arnie) Malczewski, Town of Clayton; Julie (Mark) Peterson, Menasha; Janet (Bobby) Magee, De Pere; Russ (Gail) Van Price, Shawano; and Lois (Terry) Barwick, Neenah. She was further blessed with 32 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, (one great-grandchild due in January 2008), and four great-great-grandchildren. The family lived in De Pere, Suamico, Angelica, Shawano, and moved to the Menasha area in 1972. In addition to raising her children, she worked for the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, and St. Thomas' Youth Go. She was an extra in the movie "Meet the Applegates," a senior model and was actively involved in the Menasha Senior Center, volunteering her time to work with elementary-aged children. Maxine's greatest joy was any occasion that would bring her family together and the annual family reunions. As an avid Packer fan, she especially enjoyed those special family Sunday get-togethers. She was and will always by our "MVP." Maxine was preceded in death by her mother, father, siblings, three grandchildren and a son-in-law. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2007, at St. John Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Radetski officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 29, at Martens Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, and again on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will take place in St. John Cemetery, Town of Menasha. Her faith in God and the Catholic Church had been a continual inspiration in her life. A memorial fund is being established to benefit children in promoting their Catholic education. Our very, very special thanks to Dr. Edith Santos and staff of Affinity Healthcare and Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home staff, who took special care of our mother.
