  Everett "Bill" Minton, of Waupaca, age 80, passed away peacefully Monday, August 13, 2007, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. He was born in the Township of Lind on November 3, 1926, to the late Earl and Mary (Bucknell) Minton. On April 10, 1948, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Abrahamson. Bill owned and operated a dairy farm in the Township of Lind for most of his life. After semi-retiring from the farm, he worked at Wohlt Cheese in Weyauwega for about 10 years. In his pastime he enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth, Waupaca; five children: Gloria (Clayton) Luedke, Ogdensburg; Gerald Minton (Kathy Shulist), Bancroft; Ronald (Lynne) Minton, Waupaca; Norman Minton of Waupaca and Betty (David) Minton-Heron, Unity; eight grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by a son, David; grandson, Christopher Minton; a brother and five sisters. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waupaca, with the Rev. Dr. Charles L. Tews officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home and again on Friday at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Barton Cemetery in the Town of Farmington.
