  Elmer J. Schoenborn, age 77, of 229 Good Ave., Chilton, died on August 8, 2007, at home. He was born September 1, 1929, in Fond du Lac, son of the late Michael and Clara (Doern) Schoenborn. He married Valeria Grenzer on June 21, 1950, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. Elmer worked for Walker Electric in Chilton, Household Utilities in Kiel, and retired from Altmeyer Electric in Sheboygan Falls in 1992. After he retired he drove bus for the New Hope Center in Chilton. He was a member of IBEW 494 Electric Union, served 31 years for the Chilton Fire Department and retired as captain in 1981, and was a former member of the Chilton Lions Club and Chilton Eagles Club. Elmer was an avid Packers Fan and loved deer hunting, sturgeon spearing, and hanging out with his neighbors. He is survived by his wife, Valeria; children: Michael (Maureen) Becker of Nevada, Judy (Ted) Meyer of Chilton, Michael Schoenborn of Chilton, Joe (Karen) Schoenborn of Chilton, and Ben (Doreen) Schoenborn of Chilton; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Loretta (Roger) Stephanie of Marytown; sisters-in-law: Phyllis (Sid) Faulkner of Rantoul, IL and Joan Jansen of Appleton; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Cornellison; brother-in-law, Gerald "Tuffy" Jansen; and sister-in-law, Alice Berkahn. Funeral Services will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W Main St., Chilton). Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chilton. Friends may call at Wieting Family Funeral Home from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2007, when service will be held. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Online Condolences
