  Ruth P. Schroeder, age 81 of Navarino, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 10, 2012 at ManorCare of Shawano, where she had been a resident for the past three months. Ruth was born December 29, 1930 in Bear Creek, Wis. A daughter of the late Arnold and Mabel (Campbell) Carpenter. She attended school in Shawano. Following school she was united in marriage to Ray Schroeder on Feb 11, 1948 in Gillett, WI. Following their marriage the couple live in Black Creek, Cecil and Suring. They moved to Navarino in 1983. Ruth worked with her husband at the tavern the owned and operated in Suring . After the tavern was sold, she worked as a clerk at Stengels market in Suring. Her husband preceded her in death in 1985. Ruth enjoyed all football but especially the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time at the casino. She especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Survivors include; Two sons- Scott (Sally) Schroeder of Navarino; Jim Schroeder of Oconto. Two grandchildren-Erin and Kelsie. One great Grandson-Daemon. She is further survived by three sisters- Mary Holewinski of Neenah; Anna Marie (Chuck) Siroin of Clintonville; Rita Page of Menasha; One brother-Gary (Ellen) Carpenter of Neenah; One sister-in-law-Nancy Carpenter of Navarino. Several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers-Earl and Dan Carpenter. A Funeral mass for Ruth Schroeder will be celebrated on Friday, January 13 at 11:30 AM at St Lawrence Catholic Church in Navarino. Father Ted Hendricks will be the the Celebrant. Interment will be in the Underhill Cemetery, Town of Underhill in the spring. Relatives and friends may call at the Church on Friday after 10;00 AM until the time of mass.
