  Alswager , Glenford L. Glenford L. Alswager, "Charlie Brown," age 78, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. On January 23, 1926, Glen was born in Menominee, Michigan, the son of the late Frank and Alice(Newberry)Alswager. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion Post 391 and the VFW Post in Weyauwega. He was formerly employed by Sealtest Co. On April 29, 1988, Glen married Doris Meating. Glen owned and operated Charlie Brown's Tavern in Fremont for 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Doris, Fremont; five sons: Steve, Appleton; David, Milwaukee; Joe, Tom, Fremont; Rick, California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, three step-children: Glen Meating, Brenda Fermanich and Bill Meating; two sisters: Elaine LaValley, Peshtigo; Delores Warnecke, Benton, KY; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 4 p.m. at the Lewin Funeral Home in Fremont. Father Paul VandenHogen will officiate.
