  Wenzel, Bernard G. "Bernie" Bernard G. Wenzel passed away peacefully at the age of 95. He retired from American Can in 1975 and moved to Pharr, Texas, where they lived for 21 years. He enjoyed square dancing, golfing and bridge before returning to the area. He will be greatly missed by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) whom he has been married to for 75 years. In addition to his wife Betty, he is further survived by his son, Ronald (Mary Ann) Wenzel; a daughter, Janice VanAirsdale; six grandchildren: Robert (Lynn) Wenzel, Michael (Betty) Wenzel, Mary Sue (Paul) Semanek, Vicki (Kurt) Maurer, Steven VanAirsdale and Julie (Tom) Gerrits; 14 great-grandchildren: Ann, Nick, Theresa, Tim and Lauren Wenzel, Brian, Sara and Michael Semanek, Ashley and Lindsey Miller, Cole VanAirsdale, Ryan, Tyler and Becky Schmidt; a sister, Virginia Derouin. We wish to thank the staff at Century Oaks and the Affinity Hospice services for the care they have shown Bernie. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 212 Appleton Street, Menasha, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Paul Radetski officiating.
