  Caroline H. (Eckert) Schultz, 70, Brillion, died on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Caroline was born on Aug. 1, 1936, in the Town of Green Valley, in Shawano County, daughter of the late Henry & Mayme (Herms) Eckert. After she graduated from Bonduel High School, she met and married her soul mate, Donald Schultz, on July 31, 1954, in Morrison. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion. Caroline worked at Mirro Aluminum in Manitowoc for many years, until she retired to stay home and watch her beloved grandchildren. She had a great love of drag racing and stock car racing. She would follow her children all over the country to watch them race. Caroline really enjoyed knitting and loved to read until her illness took her eyesight. Then she just went shopping, "Road Trip!" She never gave up and had more determination in her to keep going and to live life than we ever thought possible. "Ma" will be greatly missed. Survivors include her beloved husband of 52 years, Donald; her seven children, Donald (Brenda) Schultz, Brillion; James Schultz, Brillion; Robert (Sandy) Schultz, Reedsville; Gail (David) Pawlak, Menasha; Douglas (Laura) Schultz, Reedsville; Michael Schultz, Brillion; Gay Lynn Ruh, Brillion; 10 grandchildren, Brad and Danielle Schultz, Jennifer, Melissa, Abby, and Max Schultz, David, Jr. and Michael Pawlak, Randy Schultz, Jonathan Ruh; a brother, Harold Eckert, Green Bay; and a sister Margaret Schimming, Markasan. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Henry Eckert and Vernon Eckert; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Mathilda and Herbert Schultz. Funeral service will be held on Thursday Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., at Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion. The Rev. Susan Gaul will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Morrison. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 4-8 p.m., on Wednesday, and then at the church on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the doctors and entire staff at St. Vincent Hospital and the DaVita Dialysis Center of Green Bay for all the care given to Caroline.
