  Ella M. Roberts, 81, New London, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton. Ella was born on Feb. 18, 1927, in Georgiana, Ala., daughter of the late Jessie and Annie (Brogden) Kelsoe. On Nov. 13, 1944, she was united in marriage to Rudwin Roberts in Columbus, Ga. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1996. She and Rudwin owned and operated Roberts Upholstery with their son, John. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. Ella is survived by two daughters, Patti (Nicholas) Chapman, Lac Du Flambeau; Blanche A. Roberts, Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Arthur "John" Roberts, New London; Rory (Diane) Roberts, Roseville, Calif.; a brother, James (Carol) Hart, St. Louis, Mo. Six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. Funeral Mass for Ella will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London, with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
