  Olson, Frieda P. (Frieda Piechocki) Frieda P. Olson, Sarasota, Florida, age 95, formerly of Appleton, died October 29, 2008, at her home. Frieda was born March 26, 1913, and graduated from Appleton High School in 1930 and the Outagamie County Teachers College in Kaukauna in 1931. She worked as a substitute teacher in the Appleton area for several years. She was a member of the Fidelity Chapter #94 of the Order of the Eastern Star, a life member of Bay Verte #11, I.O.O.F, and the Deborah Rebekah Lodge. She received the Decoration of Chivalry in June of 1978. Frieda is survived by two daughters: Nancy Lou Olson and Ramona B. Simpson, both of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; and sons: Ronald R. and Edward A. (Linda Caldart) of Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Surviving sisters are Thelma Fields of Appleton and Marion Wiese of Neenah. She was the cherished grandmother of eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and after the death of her sister Elsie, was a foster mother to Ray, Russell, and Deanna Larsen. Frieda was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Richard M. Olson. A Celebration of her life is planned for Sunday, November 16, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the Saralake Clubhouse, at 3190 Bahia Vista Street in Sarasota, Florida, Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
