  William Dee Lloyd, Appleton, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at the Hospice at Cherry Meadows. He was born Oct. 11, 1934, in Fond du Lac, son of Gordon and Athleen (Willis) Lloyd. Bill attended St. Mary Springs Academy, Fond du Lac, graduating as an Honor Student and a member of the National Honor Society. Bill was a 1956 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Bill was then hired by Kimberly Clark Corporation where he was a highly esteemed employee for thirty nine years. Mr. Lloyd held multiple patents and at his retirement was honored as a Research Fellow. Bill married Rosemary Born of Fond du Lac, Sept. 12, 1959. During his years with Kimberly Clark they lived in Canada, England and various cities in this country. The years spent in England led him to develop the interesting hobby of collecting unusual clocks. His love of history, books, food and wines was well known. Bill is survived by his wife, Rosemary; brother, David (Phyllis) Lloyd; sister, Geraldine (Hal) Johnson; sister-in-law, Kate (William) Gorgas; nephews, David (Joan) Lloyd, Jr., Richard (Kathy) Lloyd, Michael (Judi) Lloyd, Jay (Jan) Johnson, Joel (Deb) Johnson, Todd (Sue) Flesch, Tyler Flesch; nieces, Sharon Lloyd, Kate (Jay) Millerhager, Emily (Brian) Magau, Kailyn and Jenny Lloyd, Laurie (Breck) McHenry; brother-in-law, Sidney Crofts; great-nieces, great nephews and many friends. Mr. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, great nephew, Steven Lloyd and sister-in-law, Theresa Born Crofts. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at the Kessler Funeral Home with Fr. Michael L. Ingold officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Theda Care at Home Hospice at Cherry Meadows, 2600 S.
