  Sharon J. Peterson, 73, New London, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, May 23, 2009, surrounded by family. She was born in Manawa, WI, on August 25, 1935, to the late Earl and Vera McPeak. Sharon was a graduate of New London High School. She married the love of her life, Robert Peterson, in 1958, and they were married for 49 years until Bob's passing in 2007. Together they were the owners and operators of Don's Supper Club for 35 years. Along with the Supper Club, Sharon ran the Country Corner Gifts and Crafts shop. She had a passion for cooking, the outdoors, gardening, and using her creative talents. She'll be remembered for her home cooking, warm smile and sense of humor. She could always be counted on for a good joke. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children, Betsy (Dave) Fagen, Madison; Hans (Dina) Peterson; Indianapolis, IN; Marta Peterson, Madison; Karl Peterson, New London; sisters; Vivian (George) Motto, Florida; Patricia Moriarity, New London; Dede (Ted) Raschke, Weyauwega; a brother, Terry (Ruth Ann) McPeak, New London; sisters-in-law; Pat McPeak, New London; Jan (Glen) Pankow, Suring, WI; a brother-in-law; Dave Flanagan Sr., Bear Creek. Three grandchildren, Jamie Winn and Eric & Andrew Peterson. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Besides Robert, Sharon is preceded in death by sisters, Gerry Flanagan, Sally Jensen, Dawn Petersen; and brothers, Ercel McPeak and Mike McPeak. Funeral Mass for Sharon will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Visitation will be at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
