  Smith, Alice Ann (Hammer) - Alice Ann (Hammer) Smith, Janesville, died on Sunday, July 12, 2009. She was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on May 29, 1927, to Frank J. Hammer and Marie (Rasmussen) Hammer. She was a 1945 graduate of Appleton High School, attended Lawrence University, and was a graduate of Milwaukee Hospital School of Nursing. She was married to Dr. David A. Smith on July 10, 1954. He survives her along with two sons, Stuart of Madison and Dean of Janesville; and a brother, Frank Hammer of Arlington, WA. At her request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Burial will be in the Smith family plot in Gilmanton, Wisconsin.
