  John age 77, of Appleton and formerly of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. He was born on June 24, 1932, in Milwaukee and was married to his late loving wife Barbara (Kleats) Szablewski. John had a great passion for family, golf and cribbage. He is a veteran of the Armed Forces. John worked at Zaug's Vending for many years before he retired. He is survived by six children: Diane (Tom) Malewski; John (Julie) Szablewski; Sue (Kevin) Lathrop; Cindy (Anthony) Van Gomple; Joanie (Jeff) Beem; Cheryl (Kurt) Schleicher; two brothers: Ron (Connie) Szablewski; Jim (Barbara) Szablewski; a sister Christine Grudnowski. John had 14 beautiful grandchildren; Tina Granger; Chris Granger; Jessica Petersen; Sean Szablewski; Chad Szablewski; Chelsea Szablewski; Jennifer Lathrop; Nichole Lathrop; Kayla Lathrop; Joshua Van Gomple; Melissa Van Gomple; Michelle Reitzner; Amy Beyer; Jared Beem and three great-grandchildren. John is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude, his loving wife Barbara and his brother Eugene.
