  Mrs. Chris Nelson, 84, who had been a resident of Appleton for about 60 years, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. G. Fry, route 2, Beloit, after an illness of two weeks. She was born in Buffalo, N. Y., May 5, 1863. Besides Mrs. Fry, she is survived by five other daughters, Mrs. Anna Stroebe, Mrs. Altha Sellers, Mrs. Harry Stroebe, and Mrs. Mae Wilson, all of Appleton, and Mrs. Alfred Pingel, Rome, N. Y.,; two sons, William Nelson, Port Townsend, Wash., and Edward Nelson, San Francisco, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The body is at the Wichmann Funeral home. Appleton Post-Crescent Tuesday January 6, 1948 p.12 Wednesday January 7, 1948 p. 10 Funeral services ---- will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Wichmann Funeral home. The Rev. Dascomb Forbush, of the Congregational church, of which she was a member, will be in charge. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
