  Arnold R. Kelnhofer, "Kelly", 81, Kaukauna, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 11, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 27, 1929, in Park Falls, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Rose (Kelnhofer) Kelnhofer. On Dec. 27, 1948, he was united in marriage to the former Catherine "Katie" Carter. Arnie was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from September, 1948 through May, 1952 during the Korean War. He was employed by American Can Co. for 38 years until retiring in 1991. Arnie was a long-standing and faithful member of Holy Spirit Parish in Darboy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Katie; his children, John (Chris) Kelnhofer, Bev (John) Vander Wielen, Cathy (Gregg) Scheibe, Marie (Tom) Moser, Sharon (Joe) Mann and Mike (Amy) Kelnhofer; 11 grandchildren, Chad (Sara) Scheibe, Chris (Dale) Daemmrich, Becky Pecka, Jessie Kelnhofer, John (special friend, Amanda) Kelnhofer, Kristy (Brian) Jeske, Justin (Ashley) Moser, Tracy (special friend, Scott) Moser, Lisa (Justin) Penberthy, Josh Mann and Stacy (Adam) Honadel; 12 great-grandchildren, with the 13th on the way; a sister, Millie Langlois; a brother, Dennis (Lynn) Kelnhofer; sisters-in-law, Marty Kelnhofer, June Kelnhofer, Audrey Mader and Arlene (Chuck) Kadrich. Arnie is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, good friends and good neighbors. Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Dick and Larry; brothers, Sylve, Mike and Romy; sisters, Hildegard, Rita, Veronica, Auriela and an infant sister. The Mass of Christian Burial for Arnie will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH @ Holy Angels Church, Darboy, with Fr. Dave Beaudry celebrating. Interment will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Friends may call at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. where there will be a parish prayer service held at 7:30 p.m. and at the CHURCH on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Arnie's name is being established for the Martha Sieckman Cancer Center in Appleton. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association, especially Sam and Lynn.
