George F. Mottl, Jr., age 71, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away October 10, 2007 at Appleton Medical Center from complications of leukemia. George was born in Oshkosh, August 22, 1936 to George Sr. and Lucille (Kirsch) Mottl. He graduated from Oshkosh High school and Milton College. On September 14, 1957 he married his high school sweetheart Virginia "Ginny" Matulle at Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Oshkosh and on September 14, 2007 they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. He worked at Kimberly Clark Corporation for 42 years retiring in 1999 as a maintenance superintendent at KC - west. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard 32nd Division for 9 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed working at his hunting land, playing cards, traveling, and spending winters in Arizona. He is survived by his wife Ginny, his son Bruce (Linda) Mottl, South Carolina; his daughter Michele (Brian) Plach, Neenah. Four Grandchildren: Mindy Mottl, Valparaiso, Indiana; Amy (Andrew) Lehner, Neenah; Terra Mottl, Appleton; and Andrew Plach, Neenah. He is further survived by a sister; Diane (Austin) Streblow, Oshkosh; brother Steve (Cindy) Mottl, Minnesota and a special cousin Paul Mottle, Oshkosh. He is also survived by a brother-in-law Vernon Matulle, Oshkosh, nieces and nephews and many special friends. George was preceded in death by his parents; in laws Ruben and Gertrude Matulle; and a sister-in-law, Janice Matulle. Funeral services for George will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Ave, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday. A private interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Mortara and the Martha Siekman Cancer Center, also the AMC ICU nurses Lesley and Bonita.
