  Biography	Myron P. Lindsley (1825 - 1883) Myron Plato Lindsley was born in Middlesex, Yates County, NY, September 18, 1825. He graduated from Union College at Schenectady, NY, in 1849, and from John W. Fowler's Law School at Ballston Spa in 1850. He set up his law practice upon his move to Green Bay . He and his wife Frances had a son, Thales and a daughter, Lizzie. Besides holding the office of Mayor of Green Bay, he served as District Attorney for Brown County. In 1872, he was elected to the State Senate and for two years represented the second district composed of Brown, Door, and Kewaunee Counties in the upper house. He was a prominent member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and held the office of Grand Master and Grand Representative in the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin. At one time he was reported to be very well-to-do financially, but unfortunate speculations reduced his fortunes to a low ebb. In the months prior to his death, he spent time in the area of Pelican Lake, WI, checking timberland for other parties. Interesting note: In the 1870 US Census Lindsley listed his real estate value at $20,000. In 2006 dollars that would be $318,735.18.
