  FUNERAL OF JOHN DEWANE IS HELD TODAY Died on Same Day That Wife Did, One Year Ago. June 13 The funeral of John Dewane, President of the State Bank of Maribel who died at St. Vincent's hospital at Green Bay early Monday morning after a brief attack of pluro-pneumonia, was held this morning from the home at Maribel and solemn requiem high mass service at St James church at Cooperstown at 10 o'clock, the Revs, Jacobs, Rouse and Ahearn officiating. Burial was made at the church cemetery. Born in New Denmark John Dewane was born in the town of New Denmark, Brown county July 14, 1868 and would have been fifty-nine at his next birthday. He spent his early life in Brown county and later moved to Kewaunee county, coming to this county eighteen years ago. He was married September 22, 1899 to Miss Mary Sweeney and ten children were born to the union. Mrs. Dewane died exactly a year ago to the day on the same date as her husband, June 13. Mr. Dewane for the last six years has held the position of president of the State Bank of Maribel. He is survived by ten children, Verna,Kathleen, Gerald, Wilbert, Patrick, Francis, Roland, James, Leo and Raymond, all at home with the exception of Gerald who also lives at Maribel however. Four brothers, William and Patrick of Cooperstown, James of New Denmark and Timothy of Maribel and five sisters, Mrs. J. E. Rice, Pelican Lake, Mrs. L. J. Rice, Milwaukee, Mrs. Margaret Madden, Green Bay, Mrs. Edward Morse, Wabeno and Mrs. T.W. O'Brien, Crandon, also survive him.
