Weyenberg, Anna (Maiden Name: Barts) Obituary Former Resident Dies At Appleton Mrs. Jacob Weyenberg, 68, of Appleton, who was injured in a collision between a taxicab and an automobile on December 21, died Thursday, March 6. She had been hospitalized since the accident. Mrs. Weyenberg was born Nov. 15, 1878, in Lincoln, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barts. She was united in marriage June 14, 1899 to Jacob Weyenberg of Little Chute, Wis., at St. Joseph's Church in Appleton. In 1910 they moved to Stanley, where they spent many years on their farm. They returned to Appleton in August, 1943. While in this city, she was a devout member of St. Ann's Church and was a member of the Christian Mothers' Society and St. Catherine's Circle. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, SR. Marian Frances, Huntington, Ind.; Miss Lucy Weyenberg of Milwaukee; and Bernice Weyenberg of Appleton; eight sons, Joseph and Jerome of Neenah; Edwin, Menasha; Richard, John and Rollin, Appleton; Robert, Stanley and Harold of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Frank Barta, Appleton; Peter Barta of Kimberly; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held from St. Joseph's Church at 9:00 o'clock Monday, March 10. |
