  Germaine E. Winter, age 87 of Embarrass, passed away Thursday morning, January 1, 2015 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass. Germaine was born on April 28, 1927 in the Town of Wyoming, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late Emil and Lydia (Tornow) Malueg. She attended Marion High School and was later united in marriage to Cleon L. Winter on June 9, 1947 in Waukon, IA. Shortly after marriage the couple moved to Embarrass where they have lived since. Cleon preceded his wife in death on April 28, 2010. Germaine worked for a number of years at Hanson Glove Factory in Clintonville as well as Noritage Furniture Co. in Embarrass. Her hobbies included reading, knitting, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and she greatly enjoyed visits with her grandchildren. Survivors include: Her Children: Nancy Schoepke, Shawano. Charles Winter, Ogema. Larry Winter, Wittenberg. Thomas (Mary) Winter, Appleton. Matthew (Vaunda) Winter, Irmo, SC. Grandchildren: Stephanie Rutz, Appleton. Jennifer (Jack) Craver, Normandy, France. Paul Winter, Appleton. Sarah Winter, Madison. Great-Grandson: Christian Jobe, Appleton. Sisters: Ardis Fournier, Marion & Joyce (Larry) Krolow, Tigerton. Brothers: Kenneth Malueg & Gerald "Gary" (Sonia) Malueg, Caroline. Also many other relatives and friends. Germaine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cleon; sisters Luella Prey, June Steffek, & Lydia Griffith; and brothers Donald & Albert Malueg. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 3, 2015 at 11 AM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
