  Beverly A. Tornow, age 85, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away unexpectedly after battling pneumonia on Thursday, November 10, 2016. She was born July 13, 1931 in Niagara, Marinette Co., WI; daughter of Alfred and Marvel (Monroe) Monroe. On November 24, 1951, Beverly married Roger L. Tornow in Niagara and together they shared 64 years of marriage before his passing on December 17, 2015. After retirement, Roger and Beverly loved to travel. They enjoyed their winters in Arizona where they met Astria Wong, a woman who was like a second daughter to them. Once they were not able to make the trips to Arizona, they made their home during the summers at Evergreen Campground and the winters at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose. They eventually made Rosemore their permanent home in May 2014. Beverly loved all the friends she made at Rosemore and enjoyed being a part of all of their community events which included casino trips, fishing trips, and the welcoming of trick or treaters each Halloween. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and many friends. Beverly is survived by a daughter: Nancy (Wally) Olson of Weston, WI; a son: Randy Tornow of Clayton, IA; two grandchildren: Ryan (Annie) Backes of Dallas, TX and Nicholas (Ariel) Olson of Weston, WI; one great-grandchild: Onnalisa Olson of Weston, WI; and a sister: Ruth (Robert) Billing of Wautoma. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Marvel Monroe; her husband, Roger Tornow; a granddaughter, Kasidhe Olson; a foster child, Lila Albertson; four brothers, Norbert (Mary), Robert, Myron (Marlene), and Ronald (Sue) Monroe; two sisters, Shirley (Fred) Popp and Betty (Earl) Procknow; a brother-in-law, Rex Tornow; and a sister-in-law, Jean (Myron) McKitrick. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Wild Rose United Methodist Church in Wild Rose, WI. Reverend Paul Gregersen will officiate. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Beverly A. Tornow. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements. Published in Appleton Post-Crescent on Nov. 13, 2016
