  Clare P. Plesser, age 88, of Gahanna, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, June 18, 2012. He was born to the late Bernard and Clara Plesser in Appleton, WI on October 8, 1923. Clare was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran. He was a proud member of The Knights of Columbus, the Gahanna Water Board, Charitable Works Community at St. Matthews, a St. Matthews Choir member, a volunteer at Traditions, and a part of Meals on Wheels. Clare was a loving and loyal family man and friend. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Stewart Plesser; and sister, Mary Rollowitz. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dolly Plesser; children, Nancy (Bob Sutton) Morton, Susan (Dan) Strait, Barbara (Kenneth) Eichman, Margaret Mickey, and Joseph Plesser; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a host of extended family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Matthews Catholic Church, 870 Havens Corners, Gahanna, OH.
