  BURIAL HONORS FOR CIVIL WAR VETERAN Michael Moser, 89, a pioneer of this section passed away Sunday morning at the home of his son, on the old homestead in the town of Maple Grove. The deceased was born in Hungary in 1844 and came to this county when sixteen, settling at Menasha. Later he moved to Rantoul, but for the past seventy years resided in Maple Grove. Fifteen years ago he observed, with his wife their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Moser passed away four years ago. Mr. Moser was one of the few remaining Civil War veterans in the county. He served with Company G, the 14th Wisconsin which was comprised of boys from Manitowoc and Calumet counties. He was mustered into service at Fond du Lac and mustered out at Mobil, Ala. The record shows that the unit to which the deceased was attached traveled ?????????during the war. He was at the battle of Pittsburg Landing Tenn., when his brother, a member of the same company was killed, as was Capt. George E. Waldo of Company E. He was discharged October 23, 1865.
