My theis/theiss were also from the Pfalz, but slightly further S, still all of your call names are common in my lines and the widow of my Matthias theiss married a Gerhardt. it may be nothing but I thought it might be worth a look. I know they are theis in trier. We are most likely all related, but futther back in S france, where we are said to have migrated from in the mid 1500s. Ric Dice dices1859@comcast.net
