  See Image Melvin Lauters; Funeral services were h eld at 8 p.m. Wednesday Sept 5 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic church f or Melvin Lauters, 64. Father Paul Lippert officiated at the service. A vi sitation for Mr Lauters was held Wednesday at Poole Funeral home. Entombme nt was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington. Mr. Lauters, who suffer ed from cancer for many years died Tuesday Sept. 4 at his 415 W Norport D r. Residence. He was a native of the Town of Port Washington, born to Hen ry and Mary Schimberg Lauters on July 18, 1926. He married Pearl Karre ls at St. Mary's Catholic church on Oct 9, 1948. Mr. Lauters was a To wn of Port Washington dairy farmer who retired in 1976. He is surviv ed by his wife and 4 children, James of Burlingame, Ca., Mary Lauters of P ort Washington, Sue Meurer of Cedarburg and Ron Lauters of Port Washingto n, and four grabdchildren. He is further survived by a sister Lavern Leid er of Fredonia. Memorials to St. Peter's Endowment fund are suggested.
