  Roberta "Bert" Magnuson, age 87, of Janesville, formerly of McFarland and DeForest, passed away on November 17, 2011, at Cedar Crest Retirement Center. She was born on February 18, 1924, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Miles and Margaret Doran. Bert was united in marriage to Eugene Magnuson in 1950. She was a longtime active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. In her later years Bert moved to DeForest, and most recently to Janesville. Bert is survived by six nieces and nephews: Kathy Weeks, Patrick Dooley, James Dooley, Al Decker Jr, John Decker and Margaret Decker; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; and sisters, Mary, Helen and Kathleen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5306 Main St., McFarland, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, with Father D. Stephen Smith presiding. Burial will be at St. Olaf's Cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Monday. Janesville Gazette November 19, 2011.
