  Mathias Neifing ( Neufing - Osburg, Trier Germany); Pontiac, Illinois Sentinel Vol. Xxix #39 12 Mar 1886 Died in this city on Wednesday morning 10 Mar 1886, Mathias Neifing age 71 years.Mr. Neifing was born in Germany, 6 Feb 1815 and married Annie Stanbach (Steinbach) 1843; came to America in 1846 and was a resident of this vicinity nearly twenty years. He was the father of thirteen children; all of whom save two survive him. The funeral took place today at 10 o'clock from the Catholic Church, Father Finch conducting the last rites. Undertaker Joseph Fischer from Pontiac, IL.
