Freund, Margaret K.Margaret K. Freund, age 88, currently of St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, and fo rmerly of 453 E. Johnson St. in Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 6, 2005. S he was born August 19, 1916, in the Town of Osceola, Fond du Lac County, t he daughter of the late John and Mary (Narges) Fuller. On June 28, 1947, s he married Roland R. Freund at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fond du La c. Monsignor H. G. Riordan officiated. Roland preceded her in death on Jan uary 28, 1998.She graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1934. She received h er teaching degree from Oshkosh State Teacher's College in 1945. Her teach ing experience began in one-room rural schools and ended in the Fond du L ac City School system. She is currently a member of St. Aloysius chur ch in Kaukauna. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Fond du Lac, f or over 60 years. Being a wife and mother were her top priorities. She al so enjoyed needlepoint, embroidery, sewing doll clothes, making fancy cut- up cakes, and creating green St. Patrick's Day meals.Survivors include four daughters: Karen Freund, Kaukauna; Diane (Wayne) Va nevenhoven, Kaukauna; Joan (Larry) Falk, Gurnee, IL; and Marian Freund (Fi ance Larry Ampe), Milwaukee; eight grandchildren: Tim (Kristin) Vanevenhov en, Tigard, OR; Brian Vanevenhoven (Fiancee Tricia Schuh), Milwaukee; Li sa and Linda Vanevenhoven, Kaukauna; Rebecca, Jonathan, David, and Andr ew Falk, Gurnee, Ill.; a brother, John (Marion) Fuller, Fond du Lac; a bro ther-in-law, Field Rahn, Fond du Lac; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Kraus, Fo nd du Lac.In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sist er, Florence Rahn and the following in-laws: June Fuller, Lucile Freund, M arie and Sal Schlaefer, Ethel and Robert Shortt, John and Ceil Freund, Osc ar Kraus, Sr., and Walter and Mandy Freund.Margaret's funeral service will be at noon on Thursday, March 10, 200 5, at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH in Kaukauna with Fr. David Schmidt offi ciating. Friends will be received at church from 10 a.m. until the ti me of service. Burial will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. in Calvary Ceme tery, Fond du Lac. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being establish ed to benefit St. Paul Home. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukau na is assisting the family. 766-2099.The family would like to thank the Staff at St. Paul Home for all the ca re and compassion they gave Margaret.
