  Kohl, Jerome N.Jerome N. Kohl, age 75, of Appleton passed away on Thursday, January 6, 20 05 at Cherry Meadows Hospice after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was bo rn in Appleton on January 19, 1929 to the late Norman and Louise (Ertl) Ko hl. On October 11, 1951 he married Lorraine Sprangers and they shared 53 w onderful years together. He was a charter member of St. Bernadette's Paris h. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union Loc al #9 and received his 50 year membership card in 1997. He was an avid gar dener who enjoyed spending time at his land: feeding and watching birds a nd driving his Ford tractor there. Above all, he adored being with his gra ndchildren and great grandchildren.Jerome will be sadly missed by his wife, Lorraine; his children and grandc hildren: Daniel (Sharon) Kohl and their children: Greg (Brenda) Kohl, a nd Michelle (Brad) Paltzer; Anthony (Joan) Kohl and their children: Jul ie and Debbie Kohl; Louis (Barb) Kohl and their children: Rachel and Rebec ca Kohl and Lyndon Vander Zanden; Kathleen (Kevin) Milbach and their son N elson Milbach; Ann (Jim) Appleton; Betty (Pete) Bosch and their son Clar ke Bosch; Rose (Richard) Heiman and their children: Karl and Olivia Heima n; Patricia (Daniel) Michalkiewicz and their children: Marissa and Mason M ichalkiewicz; Marie (Bill) Becker and their sons: Willie and Joe Becke r. He is further survived by two great grandchildren: Jenna Kohl and Em ma Paltzer; his brother Richard (Marylyn) Kohl; two sisters: Geraldine (Ar nie) Van Handel, and Mary Lou (Clyde) Heckner; Brothers and sisters - in - law: Ellen Kohl, Janet (Don) Vanden Heuvel, Beatrice Mueller, Elai ne Gregoire, Margie (Ken) Van Stralen, Leonard (Mary) Sprangers, Joseph (K ay) Sprangers, and Evelyn Sprangers.In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by two brother s: Joseph and Norman Kohl; 1 sister: Carol Jansen; and siblings - in - la w: Lawrence (Marlene) Sprangers, Floyd Sprangers, Fred Mueller, and Euge ne Gregoire.A funeral mass for Mr. Kohl will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Janua ry 10, 2005 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 2331 E. Lourdes Drive, Apple ton. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of the mass at church.In Lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jerome's name.The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Cherry Meado ws Hospice for their loving care, along with a special thank you to Jerome 's Hospice nurse, Mary.
