  Beach, North Dakota: Charles Michael Hardy, age 85, of Beach, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beach. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 8, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beach, with Father Dan Berg Officiating. Rite of Committal will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Beach Charles was born on January 29, 1928 in Beach, a son of James Francis and Mary Winifred (Mailey) Hardy. Charles received his education in the Beach Public Schools graduating with the class of 1947. After high school he entered into a lifelong career of farming. Charles married Victoria Eve Bruski on June 6, 1950 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Beach. Charles and Victoria made their home on a farm southwest of Beach. After retiring in 1988 they continued to live on the family farm until 2006 when they moved to Beach where they currently reside. He was an active charter member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and many other community organizations. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Hardy; eight brothers, Jim Hardy, Jack Hardy, Robert Hardy, Don Hardy, Howard Hardy, Maurice Hardy, Richard Hardy and Gerald Hardy; one sister, Margaret Marmon; one grandson, Matthew Hardy and one son-in-law, Bill Kuntz. Charles is survived by his wife Victoria of Beach; a son, Don(Jean) Hardy of Beach and their children Thomas (Kelly) Hardy and their daughter Collins, Michael (Kayla) Hardy and Mark Hardy; a son John (Gayle) Hardy of Battle Ground, Washington; a son Mike (Barb) Hardy of Fargo, North Dakota and their children Erin and Ryan Hardy; a daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Bodensteiner of Wahpeton, North Dakota and their children Jill (Steve) Briggs and their daughters Katherine and Ingrid Briggs, Gregory (Anne) Bodensteiner, Carla and Denise Bodensteiner; a daughter, Shelly Kuntz of Bismarck and her children Christopher (Amanda) Kuntz and Jennifer Kuntz; one sister, Mary Muggli of Lake Oswego, Oregon; one brother, Paul (Lois) Hardy of Mercer Island, Washington; three sisters-in-law, Donna Hardy of Santa Rosa, California, Pat Hardy of Bismarck and Tootie Hardy of Carson City, Nevada and numerous nieces and nephews.
