  Spice, Larry J., Kaukauna Age 62, died Wednesday February 5, 2003 at the Franciscan Care Center, App leton. He was born May 8, 1940 in Kaukauna son of Lester and Eileen (Liebe rgen) Spice. On February 26, 1969 Larry married the former Margaret Somme r. He was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Kaukauna. Larry owned a nd operated Farm and City Auto in Kaukauna for several years. He was a mem ber of the U.S. Coast Guard. Larry was a quiet person. He enjoyed readin g, playing the guitar, western music and movies and playing board games wi th his family. He was a big sports fan- especially the Brewers and the Pac kers. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his son, John (fiance, Arletta ), stepchildren; Brenda (Kevin) Watson, Greg Kalbus and Brian (Sharrey) Ka lbus, 6 grandchildren; Eric and Michael, Justin, David, Ashley and Holl y. He is also survived by his mother, Eileen (Jack Keough), one brother, J im (Linda) Spice, 6 sisters; Jan (Tom) Lindemuth, Sharon (Bill) McCollu n, Ellen (Dave) Kiefer, Barb Spice, Peg (Don) Gerrits and Becky Spice, bro thers-in-law; Art (Laverne) Sommer, Clarence (Doris) Sommer, Eldor (Pat) S ommer, sisters-in-law; Helen Meier, Louise (Delvin) Spiegelberg and many n ieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Leste r, brothers-in-law; Walter Sommer, Henry Meier and Wilbur Drews and sister -in-law, Elverna Drews. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Frid ay at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Pa stor Ronald Raddatz officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Fa mily and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Friday until t he time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been establis hed in his name. The family would like to thank the staff of Franciscan Care Center for the ir care and support.
