Jim Menting, 70, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was born on October 17, 1944, son of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Williams) Menting. On August 21, 1965, Jim was united in marriage to Judy De Bruin at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. He was a mason for over 45 years at Stebbins Engineering, Watertown, New York. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judy; two sons: Clifford (Fatima) Menting and Victor (Heidi) Menting; grandchildren: James, Felica, Caleb and Narzi; siblings: Raymond (Jane) Menting and Karen (Lyle) Vandenberg; brothers and sisters-in-law: James Peerenboom, Julie Menting-Edgerton, Robert (Janice) De Bruin, Gordon De Bruin, Harold (Carol) De Bruin, Victor (Jean) De Bruin, Elaine (Casey) Van Cuyk, Evelyn Van Schyndel, Mary Ann De Bruin and Juanita De Bruin; many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law: Laura and Henry De Bruin; siblings: John Menting, Michael Menting and Marge Peerenboom; brothers and sisters-in-law: Dorothy Hawley, Donald, Toby (Pat), Lloyd, Lee, John, and Melvin (Virgie) De Bruin; Clara (Roman) Simon, Genavieve (Henry) Van Schyndel and Martin Van Schyndel.
