  Served the St. Joseph Church in Pierz, MN, then was assistant at Holy Angels Church in St. Cloud and instructor at Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. He attended Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. from 1939 to 1942, where he received a Ph.D. in psychology and psychiatry. Returning to St. Cloud, he was named superintendent of Cathedral High School and remained until 1955. He was then appointed to St. Andrew Church, Elk River (1955-59), St. Paul Church, Sauk Centre (1959-68), and Sacred Heart Church, Sauk Rapids (1968-76). He was named Vicar General in 1968. In 1976 he became chaplain at the Poor Clares Monastery. In addition to serving as vicar general, Kremer also was chaplain to the Poor Clare Sisters convent at Sauk Rapids. He said the daily masses for the sisters, and all those who had contact with him admired him, said the Rev. Daniel Taufen, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. He was an ardent supporter of the bishop and acted as an intermediary for all of the priests. Speltz said he will announce a successor to Kremer soon.
