  Kempen, Sylvester J., ; Neen ahAge 76, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Theda Clark Medical Center. He w as born July 31, 1927 in Catawba, son of Wilbert and Anna (Peters) Kempe n. Sylvester married Dolores C. Kurth, Sept. 25, 1954, in Kennan and she p receded him in death January 22, 2002. He was employed by Kimberly-Clark C orporation Lakeview Mill for over 40 years prior to his retirement in 19 89 and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed meeting wi th fellow retirees of Kimberly-Clark. Sylvester was a member of St. Gabri el Catholic Church, Neenah and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Eng ineers during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legi on Johnston Blessman Post #38, Appleton.Mr. Kempen is survived by his children, Karen (Richard) Foss, Stevens Poi nt and their children, Adam and Alex: Joan (David) Denny, Appleton and the ir children, Mari-Lee (Kris) Kersten and their child, Griffin and Kari; Ja net (Terry) Doll, Indianapolis, IN and their children, Erin and Jeff; Greg ory (Carol) Kempen, Menasha and their children, Eric, Alicia and Tim; Mich ael (Mary) Kempen, Greenville and their children, Matthew and Meghan; Sus an (Chuck) Supple, Madison and their children, Shane, Derek, Ryan and Call ie; and Sarah (Jasson) Yahn, Kimberly and their child, Andrew; sister a nd brothers, Florence McDonald, Ray (Ethel) Kempen, Clayton (Barb) Kemp en and Richard (Elaine) Kempen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mar ge and Mildred Kempen, Barbara Silvernail, Gerald (Dorothy), Donald (Lee ), James, Trudy, Harold (Florence), Anthony (Karen) and Mike (Pauleen) Kur th, Judy (Gary) Hansen; nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives a nd friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at S t. Gabriel Church with Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Military rites wi ll be conducted by the American Legion Johnston Blessman Post #38, Applet on following the Mass at the church. Entombment will be in the Shrine of H eaven Mausoleum, Neenah.
