  Van Asten, Catherine R. (Meulemans) Wrightstown 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at her home.Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at De Wane-Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown. Parish Prayer Service 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation wi ll continue at St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown, at 9:30 a.m. Thursd ay until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Robert Kabat officiating. Interment in Parish Ceme tery. The complete obituary will appear in Wednesday's paper. Van Asten, Catherine R., (Meul emans), WrightstownAge 80, passed away Sunday Jan. 4, 2004 at her home. The daughter of the l ate John and Anna (Green) Meulemans was born September 6, 1923 in Kaukaun a. Catherine and Gerald Van Asten were united in marriage July 4, 19 46 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown. She was a member of St. Pa ul Catholic Church and a past president of the Christian Mother's Societ y. Catherine was an avid gardener who loved flowers, she loved to sew a nd play cards. More than anything Catherine greatly loved her family.Survivors include her husband, Gerald. Their children: Gary (Lue), Kaukaun a, Ken, Kaukauna, Jim (Phyll), Wrightstown, Nancy (Bob) Lamers, Kaukaun a, Linda (Jim) Kortz, Kaukauna, Tom, Kaukauna. 6 grandchildren: Scott a nd Julie Van Asten, Mike Kortz, Dan, Sarah and Michelle Lamers. One brothe r: Art (Marcy) Meulemans, one sister, Dorothy (Mark) Buchinger. Catheri ne is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Erv (Alice) V an Asten, Art (Bonnie) Van Asten, Ron (Ann) Van Asten, Elaine (Bernie) Mil ler, Germaine Ambrosius, Mary Ann (Dave) Neubert, Diane (Leo) Gilsdorf.She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ann Meulemans, her siste r, Lucille, a brother-in-law Bill Ambrosius and her father-in-law and moth er-in-law William and Delia Van Asten.Friends may call at De Wane-Cotter Funeral Home 711 Main St. Wrightstown f rom 4 to 8p.m. Wednesday. Wrightstown American Legion Auxiliary Service 6p .m. Parish prayer service 7p.m. Wed. Visitation will continue Thursd ay at St. Paul Catholic Church Wrightstown starting at 9:30 until ti me of service. Mass of Christian Burial 11a.m. Thursday at the church wi th Rev. Bob Kabat officiating and Deacon Orvell De Bruin as homilist. Inte rment in the parish cemetery. So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, "Pe ace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, f or part of us went with you the day God called you home.
