  Luniak, Clarence J.Clarence J. Luniak, age 85, Appleton, died on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004 at t he Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Clarence was born on Sept. 15, 19 18 in the Town of Harrison, Wis., son of the late Michael and Adelia (Hoel zel) Luniak. He married Louise Raschke on Oct. 3, 1953 in Appleton and th ey enjoyed 45 years of marriage together. Louise preceded him in deat h. As a young man, Clarence operated a dairy farm in Calumet County and la ter was employed at American Can, retiring in 1985. A longtime and acti ve member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, he served as an usher for ma ny years. Clarence and Louise loved fishing together and spending ti me at their cottage on the Wolf River.He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Sandra (Keith) Griswold, Lake T omahawk; his step-son, Don (Marilyn) Borsche, Combined Locks; a sister, Lu cille Salm; two grandsons, Rodney (Beth) Borsche and their daughters Alex is and McKaila, Kimberly; and Robert Borsche and his daughter Sarah, Germa ny.Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louise, and his si ster Evelyn Spranger.The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12, 20 04 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison Street in Appleto n, with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at t he funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and again at the church on T hursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, t he family has established a memorial fund in Clarence's name.The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful caregive rs at the Kaukauna Kindred Hearts and Cherry Meadows Hospice. You cared f or dad as though he was your very own. We know he could have been in no be tter hands.
