  Ebben, Frieda (Weller) Frieda A. Ebben, 97, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Appleton, pa ssed away February 14, 2005. She was born August 7, 1907, near Bonduel, W I. She was employed by Zwicker Knitting Mill, Appleton, WI, for many year s. After her husband Peter retired in 1965, they moved to Florida. As bei ng strong in her faith, she led the rosary before daily mass at Our Lady Q ueen of Martyrs Church, Ft. Lauderdale, where she was a member. She was al so a member of St. Joseph Parish, Appleton and the Third Order of St. Fran cis. She loved to fish, play cards, play bingo, and help others by volunte ering for the Salvation Army and Red Cross. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Boede, Fond du Lac, WI; a son and daug hter-in-law: James P. (Joyce) Ebben, Appleton; six grandchildren: Linda (R usty) Wege, Lea Ann Hietpas (special friend, Tim), Lisa Ebben, Jon Boed e, Elizabeth Boede (special friend, Phil), Christopher (Amy) Boede; nine g reat-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson; a sister-in-law, Murna Welle r; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Hilbe rt Weller. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held at Our Lady Que en of Martyrs Church on Saturday February 19, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. A memori al will be held at St. Joseph Church, Appleton at a later date. Interme nt will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her close friend, A ngie Kloepfer and to mother's niece and nephew, Jan and Allan Mink, a ll of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Also sincere thank you to Julie, and the sta ff at Sheridan Manor Assisted Living Facilities, and to Gold Coast Hospi ce Center at Broward General Hospital for their thoughful dedication whi le caring for mother. She was well known for her favorite saying: "I'm naughty but nice," but tr uly, she was very nice!
