Strick, Sylvia C.Sylvia Strick, of Menasha/ Combined Locks, passed away peacefully on Mond ay morning, February 20, 2006, at Gardenview Assisted Living in Menasha. S he was born in Little Chute, daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Ebb en) Biese. Sylvia was married to Joseph Strick who preceded her in dea th on October 1, 1982. Many will remember Sylvia as an avid league bowl er who also enjoyed golf, dancing and walking.She is survived by her three children: Mary Kay (Ron) Nytes of Kaukauna, J oe (Lynn) Strick of Combined Locks, and Jenny (Dennis) Schubring of Applet on; six grandchildren: Katie Nytes and her fiance Bud Milheiser, Sara Nyte s, Mark (Deanna) Strick, David (Angie) Strick, Greg (Elizabeth) Strick, a nd Cory (Lisa) Schubring; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Nie sz of Kaukauna; three sisters-in-law: Edna Strick of Kimberly, Evelyn Bie se of Manitowoc, and Carmen Biese of Sherwood; as well as several niece s, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1982, an infa nt brother, brothers Ed (Vi) Biese, Ben Biese, Norbert (Sally) Biese, a nd Bob (Ann) Biese; and a brother-in-law Mike Niesz.Fr. Larry Abler, OFM Cap., Fr. Michael K. O'Rourke, and Fr. Tom Farrell wi ll celebrate the funeral liturgy for Sylvia at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Februa ry 23, 2006, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence Street in Appl eton. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 3 p.m. unt il the hour of the liturgy. Inurnment will take place at a later date at S t. John Cemetery in Little Chute.The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone at Gar denview Assisted Living, where Sylvia had resided for the past three year s. You made her feel so much at home. Thanks also to the staff at Heartla nd Hospice for your kindness and care.
