  Family History Researcher	Email; "Carole Kortenhof" Hello,I am a new list member. I am looking for the village in Noord Brabant where my ancestor, Theodor Kortenhoff (or Van Kortenhof) came from. I would appreciate suggestions on where to look for this information or find out if anyone on the list is searching the same Kortenhoff line. These are the facts that I have:A Dutch immigration record from 1849 showed a Dirk Kortenhoff left the Netherlands for USA at age of 36. I understand Dirk is Dutch for Theodor. The birth year was listed as 1813 and he was Roman Catholic. In the United States he first settled in Wisconsin and was married in 1853 to Wilhemina Van Groll from Little Chute, WI. It is possible that he came from an area near Oploo or Wanroij. I based this on the fact that my paternal grandmother's parents came from this region and settled in the Little Chute area in 1848.
