  Ione Jansen, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Paul Home. Ione was born on July 23, 1929 to Nick and Agnes (Yingling) Lom. She was united in marriage to Lester Jansen on October 10, 1950. Ione enjoyed taking care of her yard and was always pulling the weeds. She was devoted to her faith and was a lifetime member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Most of all she loved her family and she always enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ione is survived by her children; Susan Verhagen, Randy Jansen, and Rodney (Julie) Jansen, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law Shirley Jansen and a son-in-law Dave Kempen. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, her son Tim Jansen, and daughter Debra Kempen and her siblings. The funeral liturgy for Ione will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St. Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
